Breitling is the Official Timepiece Partner of the NFL, and that partnership was celebrated in style on Friday, as Breitling hosted a 49ers coach and legend at the Breitling Boutique near Union Square in San Francisco.
Defensive coordinator Robert Saleh joined former 49ers running back Frank Gore, 49ers Gold Rush Cheerleaders, and mascot Sourdough Sam in celebrating the partnership with Breitling’s USA President, Thierry Prissert. The BASH was on hand along with other lucky invitees to the party.
Prissert, Saleh, and Gore spoke to the crowd about their love for NFL football and Breitling watches. Gore was sporting an official Breitling NFL watch adorned in 49ers colors. When asked what he liked about his watch, Gore simply held his wrist up and said his Breitling is a gorgeous piece of bling (to paraphrase).

Let’s take a closer look at this exclusive partnership between two historic organizations.
“Breitling is honored to be a Proud Partner of the San Francisco 49ers, a team that exemplifies resilience, excellence, and a winning tradition,” says Prissert, President of Breitling USA. “The Bay Area is a key market for Breitling, and this partnership reflects our dedication to connecting with communities that value innovation, craftsmanship, and heritage.”
Both the Breitling Chronomat GMT Automatic 40 San Francisco 49ers Edition and the Breitling Endurance Pro 44 San Francisco 49ers Edition will be showcased throughout the 2025 season at Breitling Boutiques in the Bay Area, including Union Square (San Francisco), Stanford Shopping Center (Palo Alto), and Westfield Valley Fair (Santa Clara), as well as at authorized Breitling retailers across Northern California and online at Breitling.com.
Here’s a sneak peek via official photos from Breitling.
I have a modest automatic watch collection, and I was blown away by the quality of Breitling’s timepieces. There were several watch enthusiasts at the party, and they were big fans of the NFL’s partnership with one of the watch industry’s most prestigious brands.
Unfortunately, Saleh’s defense couldn’t stop the Rams on the Sunday following the party. I can report that Saleh didn’t stay long and was back to business in no time. So it wasn’t the Friday party that did him in; it was simply a potent Rams attack, along with the well-documented injuries to his defensive unit.
The BASH stayed at the party until closing time, along with dozens of others. It was a great event, and Breitling was an amazing host, especially Prissert. He’s a very personable and friendly guy. Saleh, Gore, the 49ers Gold Rush Cheerleaders, and Sourdough Sam were all awesome as well.
Gore is actually one of my all-time favorite running backs. I told him as much, and that was a real thrill. I’m not sure whether it was the great party, Gore’s love for his Breitling, or the way the watches looked in the boutique, but I’d definitely love to add a Breitling to my collection one day.
