There’s one thing all Warriors fans and observers can agree on, and that’s the fact that injured guard Klay Thompson is missed.
The three-time champion with Golden State and Splash Bro to star guard Stephen Curry, Klay is as important to the Warriors recent dynastic success as anyone on the team. An All-NBA and All-Star guard, he’s behind only Curry in shooting prowess and can lock up the opponents’ best player, since he’s a former NBA All-Defensive team selection as well.
But of course, he hasn’t played since the 2019 NBA Finals, due to consecutive catastrophic injuries. Klay is also missed off the court, too, with his fun, quirky personality. Luckily, he spoke to the media this week, and he had a lot to say.
Some talk was serious, and some was more lighthearted, such as when Thompson talked about swimming in the San Francisco Bay. Check the clip here courtesy of the Warriors’ Twitter account.
“Life changing,” he says. Love it. Plus, he shouted out Spurs great Tim Duncan, who was known to swim for exercise and played 21 seasons in the NBA. Perhaps Thompson will make a habit of donning the wet suit and swimming in the famous SF Bay more often. If it helps him play 21 seasons, I’m all for it.
