Look: Warriors G Klay Thompson’s injury rehab hits ‘big milestone’ at Chase Center

The home of the Golden State Warriors, San Francisco’s Chase Center, is still relatively new. Still, it’s seen its share of big moments, such as guard Stephen Curry’s 62-point performance early in the 2020-21 campaign.

But in the arena’s two seasons of existence, it was yet to witness the greatness of Warriors guard Klay Thompson, until now, that is. Thompson’s rehabilitation from an Achilles tendon tear in November is moving along nicely, allowing him to workout at Chase Center, and Thompson posted photos on social media to prove it, head band and all.

You can see all five photos on Thompson’s Instagram page here.

Also, Thompson had this to say on his Instagram.

I still have a really long , long , LOOOONG way to go . But my goodness, it felt so dang good to get up and down and see the ball go thru the net . Can’t wait to burn em down next year 👌🏽 💦 🔥 !! Big milestone for me this week

Thompson has a long way to go, and he’s already waited two full seasons to join his teammates at the Warriors new home. He tore his ACL in the 2019 NBA Finals before rupturing his Achilles just before the 2020 NBA Draft.

But he’s getting closer to competing. Expect Thompson back at full strength early next season, when the band, consisting of superstars Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Thompson, will finally be back together again.
