It’s always the right time to get excited about Golden State Warriors basketball, even as August turns to September. The Warriors’ official Twitter account added 50 more reasons to get hyped about the 2021-22 NBA campaign, however, providing a highlight reel to mark 50 days until the Warriors play basketball again.
Here’s the reel, published on Monday. The regular season begins on Oct. 19 against the Lakers in Los Angeles.
Note the early dunk by forward Draymond Green. I’ve called for Green to be more assertive near the hoop in large part because I know he’s capable. The Warriors are a much better club when he looks to score easy buckets.
Also, as you enjoy the spender starring superstar guard Stephen Curry, note the Warrior that’s not there: G Klay Thompson. The last time Curry, Green and Thompson held the top-3 roles on the Warriors, they won 73 games. It’s unlikely (okay, nearly impossible) for them to have similar success, but I can’t wait to see what they’ve got in store.
But until then, we’ll have to count down the days. These highlights help soften the impact of life without basketball as summer turns to fall (finally).
