It’s often said that honesty is the best policy. In the NFL, however, much truth goes unsaid at press conferences.
But San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa recently said what’s likely on the minds of most pass rushers in the league — he hates quarterbacks. All of them. How’s that for honesty?
Here are the details, courtesy of The Athletic’s David Lombardi.
Now that’s what I call a perfect answer. A clear 10 out of 10. A pass rusher as skilled as Bosa has no time to take names. He only has time to kick … well you know what. Essentially, he spends every moment thinking about sacking the QB, no matter who it is.
Bosa’s temperament has certainly paid off. He’s in the midst of a monster comeback campaign after tearing his ACL just two games into last season. He has 11 QB sacks as the 49ers prepare to face the Seahawks Week 13, with 16 tackles for loss. Bosa is among the league leaders in each category.
And honestly, he’s probably fairly satisfied with his play thus far, though he’d probably never admit it — much unlike how he gleefully admits his hate for every QB in the NFL.
